Education Reform

Las Vegas Voices of Reason is committed to supporting initiatives to help change the results of the local education system. Common sense solutions can be uncovered and implemented to move CCSD away from the bottom of the results ladder and help our community youth be better prepared for the real world.

Resolve Medical Challenges

Having enough qualified Doctors and Nurses in the city is an ongoing challenge that our community faces. Together with the lead of qualified professionals, initiatives must be implemented for a long-range plan to be successful and keep our city protected as the population grows.

Stopping Sex Trafficking

Despite the growing awareness of human trafficking, it remains a significant problem in Nevada and especially in Las Vegas. Many government agencies have taken steps to combat the issues but Las Vegas Voices of Reason would like to enhance the chorus helping to eradicate human trafficking.

Hearing Young Voices

The youth of today have many similarities to the youth of previous generations but also many differences as society changes. We believe that both the youth and the elderly can learn from each other if only willing to listen. Listening to young voices is the best way to learn if current messaging is on target or missing entirely. We look for young leaders to step up and help inform us so we can all progress together.

Government – Civility, Truth, & Accountability

Something is wrong when the populous does not have a high awareness as to where their tax dollars are being deployed. The recent shift in Government to either the extreme left or right is not serving the population effectively. If the populous is split close to 50/50 then Government must work towards the middle to serve more people effectively. Some will always be upset with an issue but if Government can reach the 70% in the middle the chance of more people benefiting increases.

Stopping Animal Cruelty

Animal cruelty is a very serious issue that affects millions of animals and has been enhanced due to Covid. Animals are often abused, neglected, and abandoned leading to physical and psychological suffering. Las Vegas Voices of Reason aims to help provide these animals with a safe and healthy environment, ensuring that they get what they need.

Approve Term Limits

It is almost a given that in a democracy, the people should have the right to choose their leaders. However, this may not always be the case when it comes to the number of terms a leader can serve. Congressional term limits are a way to ensure that power is not concentrated in the hands of the same people for too long, and that new ideas and perspectives can come into play.

Stopping Anti-Semitism

Anti-Semitism is a form of discrimination and prejudice towards Jewish people. It is an unfortunate reality that anti-Semitism persists in many communities. The spread of this bigotry and all hatred is concerning, which makes the Las Vegas Voices of Reason take a stand against Anti Semitism. To spread awareness of the dangers of Anti-Semitism to educate and empower people to stand up against it, we encourage your help.

Criminal Justice Reform

If something is not broken, do not touch it. If it is, fix it. Criminal Justice is not something that effectively works from either the left or the right extremes. As society changes so must criminal justice. Who better to find viable solutions than those who have served in the system for a long time and seen many changes? The system should be fair to protect society and maintain the rights of innocent until proven guilty.

First Responder Support and Training

First responders play a crucial role in keeping our communities safe. They are the first to arrive at the scene of an emergency, and they work tirelessly to provide immediate and support to those in need. However, despite the critical role they play, many first responders often face significant challenges, high-stress levels, and limited resources. Las Vegas Voices of Reason is eager to help the community understand the resources our First Responders need to do their job safely and effectively.

Veteran Support

Veterans have made great sacrifices for their country, and many face significant challenges upon returning to civilian life. These challenges can include physical and mental health issues, difficulty finding employment, and social isolation. Las Vegas Voices of Reason can play a vital role in supporting veterans and helping them to successfully transition back into civilian life. With the goal of community support to appreciate their service and sacrifice, and help them transition successfully to civilian life.
